Sustainable bamboo tube with recyclable plastic inlay. Our bamboo comes from China, where we work closely with a green certified, fair trade manufacturer. All our bamboo is water processed, not chemically treated.

Disposal
Use strong pliers to crush bamboo casing of off inner tube and compost. Inner tube can be thoroughly washed and recycled (using the wand to help scrub the tube is a great way to ensure that it is properly cleaned). Mascara wands can be donated to one of several wildlife initiatives what repurpose wands to help rescued wildlife.
